What should I do if I receive a suspicious message, and how do I share it with FIGS?
If you receive a suspicious email, text message, phone call, social media message, or encounter a website claiming to be associated with FIGS, please proceed with caution. Do not click links, provide personal information, or make any payments unless you are certain the communication is legitimate.
If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from FIGS, please report it to ReportAScam@wearfigs.com. When possible, please include the full message headers or source information, as this helps us investigate where the message came from. Here are instructions on how to obtain the full headers to share with FIGS:
If you use Gmail on the web:
- Open the suspicious message.
- Click the three vertical dots (⋮) in the top-right corner of the message.
- Select “Show original.”
- In the new page that opens, click “Copy to clipboard.”
- Paste the copied text into a new email to ReportAScam@wearfigs.com and send it.
If you use the Gmail mobile app:
The Gmail mobile app may not allow you to view the original message source.
If “Show original” is not available, please forward the entire suspicious message to ReportAScam@wearfigs.com. Please do not send only a screenshot, as screenshots usually do not include the technical information we need to investigate.
If you use Outlook desktop or Outlook web:
- Open the suspicious message.
- If you are using Outlook desktop, go to File > Properties and copy the text in the Internet headers box.
- If you are using Outlook web, click the three dots (⋯), then select View > View message source.
- Paste the copied headers or message source into a new email to ReportAScam@wearfigs.com and send it.
If you use Apple Mail on Mac:
- Open the suspicious message.
- From the menu bar, select View > Message > Raw Source or press Option-Command-U.
- Copy the raw source text.
- Paste it into a new email to ReportAScam@wearfigs.com and send it.
If none of the above works:
Please forward the entire suspicious email to ReportAScam@wearfigs.com, preferably as an attachment. Forwarding the full email, rather than sending only a screenshot, usually includes the header information we need to review and investigate the message.
