Afterpay returns follow FIGS’ standard return process. If you return an order made through Afterpay for the first time, it can be confusing, as you may expect the entire payment schedule for your order to be readjusted to reflect the new order value.
Once the refund is processed by FIGS’- it automatically drops through to Afterpay, and your payment installment plan is adjusted to reflect the new total order value starting with the last payment installment and working backwards.
Therefore, you may find that your payments that are the furthest out, have been reduced to zero, and the closest payments remain at the original value.
Refunds for customers using the Afterpay payment option will follow FIGS’ standard return policy and will first be refunded from FIGS to the designated Afterpay account. Once the refund is processed to the Afterpay account, if funds are owed to the customer at that time, it will be processed to the card(s) associated with the payment installment(s). For this reason, do not offer an exchange, cash refund or store credit for Afterpay orders. Should a refund be processed in any other manner and not an adjustment to the order, the customer may get confused as to why payment is still due for an Afterpay order for goods returned.
Afterpay will only process refunds once notified by the FIGS.
